Mobile Helix Partners with PSPDFKit to Provide Secure PDF Annotation to the LINK App

Lawyers receive, annotate, and share documents using a single encrypted app.

Today at ILTACON 2017 you can see our new in-app annotation in LINK 3.3.

Lawyers can quickly annotate a document receive via email or a document stored in iManage Work® and NetDocuments® DMS. Then email the annotated document or check it into DMS with LINK 3.3.

“With the addition of PDF annotation, LINK now provides the industry’s broadest complement of workflows for lawyers on mobile devices,” Seth Hallem, CEO and Co-founder of Mobile Helix. “LINK workflows, whether annotating, editing, or comparing documents, ensure security and control of documents. Clients are imposing tougher security requirements on law firms. Our goal is to provide law firms with stringent security while making it easy for lawyers to get work done with LINK.”

“It was quick and simple to integrate the PSPDFKit framework with our LINK app,” said Mobile Helix’s CEO, Seth Hallem. “Lawyers like the intuitive interface. It is important to us that the framework is proven in high volume enterprise mobile apps.”

Mobile Helix Announces the Release of LINK 3.3 with Local Edit and Digital Rights Management

We are thrilled to unveil our new LINK 3.3 release at ILTACON 2017.

What’s new in LINK 3.3

  • Local edit using the Microsoft Word app
  • Option to send a document using iOS Mail
  • Ability to read an NRL link in iOS Mail
  • Integration with Azure AD Information Rights Management
  • Secure in-app PDF annotation
  • Lighter, faster User Interface

LINK’s direct integration with the Microsoft Word app fulfills a key request from CIOs — the ability to use Word to edit documents, without the use of the Cloud. Another frequent request comes from lawyers who like the familiar use of iOS Mail. In response, firms may now opt to use the iOS Mail interface for two key functions: sending documents and viewing NRL attachments. LINK combines iManage Work® and NetDocuments® DMS with Outlook and the Microsoft Word app for a single app experience.

Our CEO, Seth Hallem said, “LINK 3.3 is a significant step forward in enabling lawyers to review, edit, and share work product from their ever-present mobile devices. At the same time, legal content is highly sensitive and its protection is increasingly critical. In our 3.3 release, LINK can be integrated with Microsoft Azure AD Information Rights Management. Only the AD user can decrypt a document, no matter where it resides. IRM is transparent to the user. Security is increased without encumbrance on the user.”

See you in booth 703 at ILTACON today!

That one missing LEGO – opening an NRL in your iOS email with LINK

Have you ever noticed that sometimes something very small can get in the way of completing something big and meaningful?

LEGO red 2 x 2

Like when you open a new Lego set and later discover that there are 1119 / 1120 pieces there, and of course the missing piece is the little tiny one that goes right in the middle, so you already spent two hours building half of the Star Wars set – but now you need to stop everything and drive 30 minutes each way to the Lego store to get that one tiny 2×2 block.

“ILTA’s 2015 Technology Survey Published: Security is King, Queen and Pawn” – Jobst Elster, InsideLegal

Security is on the minds and the agendas of Legal IT teams. It’s no wonder. The Legal profession is no different than the rest of the business world. Experian, Trump Hotels, Ashley Madison and the FBI are just a few of the organizations to suffer from major data breaches in 2015. Continue reading
