ILTA Docks at the Inner Harbor – SharePoint Symposium 2015

I

This year the ILTA SharePoint Symposium, June 9-10, is in Baltimore, right on the Inner Harbor at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel.  The Inner Harbor is vibrant and a model of urban revitalization. I’m looking forward to both the SPS and exploring the Inner Harbor. Below is a terrific drawing of the Baltimore harbor in 1849 with the Washington Monument in the background.

At an ILTA event you can count on technology savvy law firms sharing what has worked for them in legal IT. This year there are two keynotes and eleven sessions on SharePoint topics. I hope to join the session, “Enterprise Apps Don’t Have To Be So Bad! Focus on User Experience,” with a panel comprised of Beau Mersereau of Fish & Richardson, Charlotte Logullo of Foley & Lardner, and Brian Clayton of Taft Stettinius & Hollister. Of course, user experience is the key to the adoption of any mobile app. Enterprise apps are no exception. This session is a great chance to learn from legal IT app-lovers.

Ilya Dreytser, our Director of Customer Engineering, will be on the Wednesday afternoon panel entitled, “Making SharePoint Mobile.” Ilya will share the use cases of two of our mobile SharePoint deployments. The first case is mobilizing the intranet built on SharePoint. The second is client access to SharePoint – securely, from mobile devices. Joining Ilya will be Ajay Wanchoo of Hogan Lovells and Chris Ertz of Microsoft.

Mobile Helix is a sponsor of the SPS. At table number 5 we will be showing demos of our LINK encrypted mobile app with:

  • SharePoint and the mobile intranet
  • DMS including viewable NRL attachments
  • Secure doc edit

Do you have mobility challenges with SharePoint,DMS, or your intranet? Visit us at the SPS – we’ll be happy to share our solutions insights.

Here’s to beautiful weather in Baltimore on June 9th and 10th to better enjoy the Inner Harbor.
